Xbox One X Detail Review and First Look

The Xbox One X is here and this time Microsoft has a serious console on its hands. The one that Microsoft called Project Scorpio. The one that the PlayStation 4 Pro needs to watch out for. But is the One X the one console to rule them all.

Xbox One X is one console I was really excited about. See I’m not much of a gamer but I do appreciate great graphics and mind-boggling performance both of which the Xbox One X has been boasting about.

So I’ve been spending a lot of time with the console and these are my first impressions on Microsoft’s latest attempt at completely owning the console gaming market.

Let’s take a look at the Xbox one X

Once I took Xbox One X out of the box. It’s hard to actually see the size difference between this thing and the Xbox One S. Which by the way was an extremely small console, however, compare this to the original Xbox one is tiny by comparison.

Talking about the hardware specs there is a lot more power its an 8 core AMD CPU 12 Gigabytes of RAM and a 6 Teraflops graphics memory that’s 1.8 Teraflops higher than Sony’s PS4 Pro.

The design of the Xbox One X is quite appealing. It’s small and it comes with a mean-looking not glad finish. Thank god Microsoft in full of One S with this thing and make white its signature color.

Harvest mix aside the Xbox one X Continues to impress right for the first time I powered it up.

The boot animation is freaking awesome and the accompanying music just gave me goosebumps.

I’ve used the Xbox 360 before and I love the Metro UI or the modern UI it had. This new Xbox one X UI is well it’s cleaner in many respects but it also feels a bit slow in places especially when compared to PS4 Pro UI.

Sometimes like when joining a new network the fonts are so huge and very sure Microsoft things I have trouble reading.

Performance of Xbox One X

All that aside the Xbox One X works like the beast it is. Obviously, since it offers true 4k gaming I wanted to try out the best it has to offer. Which led me to games like Forza Motorsport 7, Halo 5, and our office favorite Mortal Kombat excel.

Now I don’t have a 4k TV handy so I played on a simple Smart LED TV from Samsung but the difference was clear.

Playing Mortal Kombat Excel showed a clear performance difference between the Xbox one X is beefy hardware as compared to what the PS4 Pro was able to offer. The motion was clearly smoother than on the PS4 Pro even when I was sampling on a 1080p display.

Forza Motorsport 7 is a hell of a game. Even on a Smart LED TV Panel where the game was downscaled, it looked incredible. The graphics are excellent and there is a clear improvement in the way the scene is lit and all of it just comes together to make an adrenaline-pumping racing game.

I also played Halo 5 for a bit and oh my god that environment it looks stunning with the Xbox One X I mean just look at this.

Xbox One X Controller

The controllers are great I bought this found Xbox controllers to be a more natural fit in the hand and these are no exception.

They also have a new and improved vibration motor which results in really great and natural feeling haptic feedback.

However, they are powered by two double-a batteries so unfortunately, I’ll have to buy a plug-and-play kit separately.

Xbox One X Storage

By the way, installing 4k games or even games that are enhanced for the Xbox one X is a mammoth task.

As I realized while I was downloading Helo 5. That game is a hundred GB in size and Microsoft for some reason has really crappy servers.

I found the download stuck on multiple occasions causing more times than I could count.

I had to keep restarting download every now and then it was annoying. Really Microsoft needs to sort this out.

I mean this makes using the Xbox game fast free trial at fast so annoying I really don’t think I’ll be using it much. Don’t get me wrong I’m not comparing Microsoft servers to steams mighty servers.

But the PS4 Pro has never had issues with downloading or logging it.

Also, the games are so huge 1 TB of storage on the Xbox one X will quickly run out. As I seen Helo 5 took 100 GB Forza Motorsport 7 took 100 GB and Mortal Kombat took another 45 GB that’s a lot of storage and just three games.

Sure you could add additional storage to the Xbox. But then it will be slower it will be costly and this is something Microsoft should have thought of anyway.

All in all the Xbox one X is an awesome console and it truly is a beast when it comes to gaming.

Xbox One X Pricing

If you’re using an Xbox One or if you still 360 users. The Xbox one X is definitely worth the upgrade.

However, from the Xbox One S the differences are not so damning. Especially when you consider the Xbox one X is 53 Thousand Rupees (RS 53000).

Also, 40 gaming is not for everyone and if you’re gonna play on a 1080p display only and 15 to 20 percent of improvement in performance doesn’t really matter to you.

You can grab the PS4 Pro for a much lower price than the Xbox one X.

The PS4 Pro will get you more exclusive titles and the Xbox well there’s only Halo 5 and force are there well those are my thoughts on the Xbox one X a console that has almost everything going for it get isn’t one that I blindly recommend.
